This book continues a process of showing that the dynamic relationship between religion and society is far more significant—philosophically, historically, theologically and even sociologically—than is often credited. This book is about that interplay between the Christian faith and civil society in Australia in the time prior to and during the process of constructing a federated nation, and in the period since Federation.
